| SITUATION | In seaside, to Cayo Santa Maria, an island only intended for tourism, not of inhabitant, it is connected to the coast by a road on the sea. Very calm. |

| ROOMS | Large, clean, air-conditioned, equipped very well (mini bar filled every day (water + sodas + beer), domestic iron, ironing board, TV, radio operator CD, mosquito net…), small living room, all is new even if that does not see forcing (curtain which falls, ice which does not hold, broken down clim…). Too bad. On the other hand, service of very fast and effective maintenance. Chambermaid very pro too. |

| PERSONNEL / SERVICE | It a little the disorder… lack of training, of framing? lacks personnel? In any case, the service is really not good (tip or not, it is idem). The tables used are not positioned back… nor not disencumbered. The gardeners are super effective and sympas. |

| BREAKFAST / MEALS | BREAKFAST/MEAL WITH THE DRESSER Very good choice with the breakfast, good pastry makings (crescents, cakes), fresh fruits, and eggs, bacon… in short for all the tastes. Good cold coffee but been useful! To have a hot chocolate, according to the waiters, they lead it to you or indicate the machine to you to be used… With the meal, very great choice, food of good quality. RESTAURANTS WITHOUT RESERVATION (midday) Restaurant of the beach: Dresser entered and serves, dishes been used for table. Good quality. Service better than with the dresser. | BATIMENT / DECORATION | Very large very wide hotel. Not easy to find itself there, all resembles itself and the buildings are oddly numbered (6 beside the 3…). The gardens are beautiful, the gardeners do not stop working. There is still work in the open part in the last. |

| ENVIRONMENT | No… very cold. Impossible to find a place to sit down certain hours with the Lobby bar. Good musicians but the poor… nobody look at them or does not applaud… |

| BEACH | Beautiful beach, but invaded hundreds of chairs of beaches… While walking a little, one still to find a corner quiet but that little will not last because another immense hotel is in construction. |

| CONCLUSION | We were disappointed by this hotel, here are the reasons: Reception: Personalized but completely bâclé, the person was in a hurry to leave. Room: Noisy and broken down Clim the first day. Electrical outlets making of the sparks when one connects something… Rideau which fall… Miroir which falls… The TV are left in day before in the open stopes and as soon as there is a power cut, they get under way and the sound is very strong… we had the case 2 nights of continuation!! Irritating!!
Beach towels: there is not enough of it! Impossible to have of it day of our arrival! Two days without any towel… 30 mn after the opening of the kiosk, more stock… Apparemment the towels are washed in Varadero, therefore not very practical, but if stock were larger; there would be no problem… lobby bar: not enough of personnel which works (3 which works and 2 which looks at). Dirty bar, empty glasses removed steps. A customer reversed her glass of Cuba Libre on the bar, nobody did not clean the bar, they just removed glass… the tables of the Hall Swimming pool: Impossible to have a place, it misses long chairs, they all are reserved. but there remains place to put some much more! Dresser: Cold coffee, flat just tepid, more coffee with 9:30 and more red wine with 20:00!!! Because nobody deals with remaking the full one, they await anything any more to have to go to again seek of them… beautiful flowers faded, the same one during 3 days with the tables… stained tablecloths. The tables already used are not disencumbered nor not positioned back. That does not make very clean! CONCLUSION Superb hotel, but badly managed and too expensive in our opinion within sight of the services offered. one 4 stars for the buildings, gardens but one 3 for the service.

CAUTION: We are not very tender with this hotel because one paid the double of the price of Playa Pesquero and for us, it is worth less! If you have fixed prices where Melia is less expensive than Pesquero, that can become a good choice, contrary… not. Answer of the direction of the hotel: Update 2008: Apparently, the quality of the hotel improved well since our passage, you can find more recent opinions on tripadvisor.
